Christmas times can be very stressful and this year we are facing ever growing financial pressures. So many of us our struggling so we have put together some information and resources which can offer ideas, help and advice.  

Community Pantries 

There are several local pantry’s in the area. These are local services which offer food packages at reduced rates. Once you register with them you can buy a selection of food (around 12 items, with at least 2 being a meat or fish option) for £5 and  you can chose what you have from what they have on their shelves.  Each pantry will have its own cost and details of what they offer and a full list, including opening times can be found here 

Community Teen Project

Available for young people eligible for free school meals, this project offers activities in the Christmas holidays. Please visit the website at www.personalbesteducation.com/teens/teen-projects 

 

Energy Suppliers

If you are struggling with your energy bills then it is advised to contact your energy supplier. They should be able to discuss different payment options with you.

Hampshire Holiday Activities and Food Programme

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a government sponsored scheme offering enriching activities and healthy meals to children from reception to year 11 during the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays.

Hart Services


There are four branches of Hart Foodbank (Trussell Trust) in our local area. Referral agencies are able to issue clients with a voucher or make arrangements with the foodbanks for support to be accessed. Please visit their website for more information. Clients can then collect pre-packed parcels during opening hours.
