Well-being Warriors Soar to Success!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s the Inclusion Wing Walk Warriors!

Our resident  pair of high flyers – Marie Greenhalgh, Head of Inclusion College and Ele Murphy, Asst. Head of Inclusion School, took to the skies on Saturday (24th June) to take part in a charity Wing Walk. The fearless warriors took part to raise money for Inclusion Hampshire,  with the money going towards The Little Help Fund which helps students and learners.

Cheered on by a host of supporters and well wishers, the Wing Walk took place at Henstridge airfield, flown by the wonderful team at The Wing Walk Company.

The Warriors, dressed in full superhero costume and with perfect sunny weather for flying, took part in this event to both raise money for the charity as well as helping to raise awareness of young people’s mental health and well-being.

Ele said, ‘ This has been such an amazing, if slightly nerve wracking experience. We called ourselves Well-being Warriors to help highlight just how brave our learners and students are, facing real challenges in their own mental health and well-being. We are so proud of them and feel so lucky to work with such inspiring young people every day. If this Wing Walk can help raise awareness of young people’s mental health as well as raise funds for the work we do then it will all be worth it!’

Marie added, ‘ This was such a wonderful event and we just wanted to sincerely thank everyone who made the journey.’
